Day 1: Arrival at Arusha/ Kilimanjaro Airport
You are picked up at the airport by our driver and transferred to your hotel (Planet Lodge, or similar). Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the day exploring Arusha. In the evening, you meet the other guests of the Safari in Tanzania at a joint dinner.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Lake Burunge
After breakfast, the guide picks you up with lunch boxes and you start a 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its savannah, seasonal swamps, and iconic upside-down trees. It’s renowned for its abundant elephant herds and during dry seasons, the Tarangire River attracts diverse wildlife. You enjoy an extensive game drive from the open roof of the vehicle. Later, you leave the park and head to Lake Burunge for an overnight stay at Burunge Tented Camp (or similar).

Day 3: Lake Burunge – Serengeti National Park
After the breakfast plates are cleared, you continue towards the fertile highland where wheat, coffee, and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you can see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park, which you reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with a diversity of landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs, and mountains. Here, the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place, and depending on the season, you have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals in their search for nourishment. Day 4: Serengeti National Park
A full-day game drive at Serengeti National Park starts early in the morning after breakfast, as that is when most of the cats are active. Serengeti is well-known for being the home of carnivores. The kopjes, endless plains, Mara-Grumeti ecosystem, and the famous annual wildebeest migration add to its uniqueness. After the early morning game drive, we return for a hot lunch and take a short break. Then, we continue with the game drive until the evening and return to the lodge for dinner at Tanzania Bush Camp (or similar).

Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
Early morning, you set out on another safari Tanzania game drive in the Serengeti before continuing towards the Ngorongoro Crater. The 600 meters deep unbroken caldera opens before you, and you have a moment to take in the fantastic, awe-inspiring views of the collapsed volcano. Then, you descend the caldera for a game drive of over 25,000 mammals such as spotted hyenas and the “Big Five” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and lion. You enjoy lunch at a picnic spot inside the crater. After lunch, you continue the game drive and in the afternoon drive to Karatu where you enjoy the last night at Tloma Lodge (or similar).

Day 6: Karatu – Arusha/ Kilimanjaro Airport
After breakfast, we drive back to Arusha (2.5 hours) or Kilimanjaro Airport (3 hours) where you can proceed with your further travel plans.

Detailed Itinerary - 6 Day Safari in Tanzania
Day 1: Arrival at Arusha/ Kilimanjaro Airport
You will be picked up at the airport by our driver and transferred to your hotel (Planet Lodge, or similar). Depending on your arrival time you can spend the day discovering Arusha. In the evening you meet the other guests of the tour at a joint dinner.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Lake Burunge
After breakfast you will be picked up by the guide with lunch boxes and start a 2.5 hour drive to Tarangire National Park.
