You will be picked up with your guide at your hotel in the morning and drive towards Arusha National Park which will take approximately 40 minutes to get there. The park covers Mount Meru, a prominent volcano with an elevation of 4566 m. The size of the park is about 552 sq km with a montane forest inhabited by inquisitive blue monkeys and colorful turacos and trogons. I is the only place on the northern safari circuit where the acrobatic black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen. The walk will take about 2 to 3 hours with an armed ranger.
After lunch at a picnic site you will continue with the game drive through rolling grassy hills enclosing the tranquil beauty of the Momela Lakes. Their shallows sometimes tinged pink with thousands of flamingos. The lakes support a rich selection of resident and migrant waterfowl, and shaggy waterbucks display their large lyre-shaped horns on the watery fringes. Giraffes glide across the grassy hills, between grazing zebra herds. At Ngurdoto Crater in the south-east at the view point most of the time cape buffalos can be spotted at the side of the crater.

After the extensive long day it’s time to drive back to Arusha.
